You just moved to Olympia...now what?
After moving in, many new Greeners will find themselves asking, "What is there to do in Olympia?". Evergreen and its campus is just one piece of the beautiful northwest scene. Orientation Week is the opportune time, while the weather is "nice" and classes have yet to start, to explore. Whether your parents are still around and you need to entertain or you and roomates are looking for ways to blow off some steam, hopefully the ideas you find here inspire and help you to appreciate your new home.
One of the best guides to the area is the Cheap Thrills guide. This word document is a collection of cheap ways to spend time in the area from restaurants, shopping, transportation, and even the wierd and unusual.

If you are looking to get mud on your feet you must check out Evergreen's Explore the Area guide. It features a comprehensive list of national, state, city parks and trails. It also features a brief history of the area and a couple more ideas on place to visit.

Our local newspaper, The Olympian, is a great resource for everything Olympia. From whats happening in town to where and when the best fishing and clamming is, you should spend some time checking out their features.
Or you can take the advice from a ResTech on a perfect day in Olympia.
