Ok, I'm trying to play EQ2 on the wired network.
Can we say severe lag?
And don't go telling me "oh we're bandwidth constrained" EQ2 uses about 100kbits/sec bandwidth. Latency is something its sensitive to however, especially if the firewall isn't properly configured. Why can't I ping 10.17.0.100? Neither can I ping the outside world.
If one of you would run wireshark, you'd see how saturated the network is by bittorrenting.
What's a better use of the network, file sharing of a possibly not-legal nature, or social gaming during the off hours?
There's an ethics question to this as well
